Out of Affection
Namaste, myself is Pritiben Mahendrabhai Mehta residing at Ghatkopar East sharing my knee problem experience. I was having severe pain in my both the knees since 1994. Initially, I was taking Vovran tablet to subside pain 5-6 times a month. Thereafter, I started domestic medicines (Deshi dava); afterwards I took Homeopathy medicines for 3-4 years; but still pain persisted. Next, I tried Reki Therapy and Prank Healing for 6 months; but result was not seen and pain gradually was increasing; so, I had to consume pain killer tablets 5-6 times a week. I had severe Paralysis stroke in 1983; so was scared of operation. Few close doctors advised that it would be dangerous if you don’t undergo surgery now as if fracture occur then I have to be bedridden forever; as I was having great trouble in walking.

Then finally decided to consult orthopaedic doctors. I met 3 doctors; one at Mulund, another at Peddar Road and last at Hiranandani Hospital, Powai, Dr. Sanjeev Jain. All the 3 doctors were practicing modern techniques. Dr. Sanjeev Jain explained me very minutely, giving all the details, its benefits and helped me come out of operation fear. I decided to go through knee surgery through Dr. Sanjeev Jain at Hiranandani Hospital. My both the knees were operated in April, 2006; I was 63 years old at that time. Heart functioning was also 25-30% but Dr. had shown great confidence in his treatment.

I stayed 17 days in Hiranandani, Powai, till stitches were opened there only. Dr. kept 3 days gap between two knees operation. During this period, I received amazing hospitality from nursing staff and ward boys. Also Dr. Chatterjee CEO Head of Hiranandani made sure that any small sort of recommendations made by me or my husband get resolved. He used to take prompt follow up to it. Dr. Sanjeev Jain used to visit twice a day and motivate me and my family members and this positive environment had a superb effect on my speedy recovery. At Hiranandani, all specialized doctors were available; no issues faced re. car parking & all. I used to visit Dr. Sanjeev every month; thereafter quarterly and then twice a year. I went for Kerala tour and enjoyed it without any knee complaint which seemed next to impossible at one stage. I travelled at many places of India till date including few long car travel; but never had to take any pain killer tablet for knee pain.

Today, 10 years have passed of my joyful life wrt knee pain which I give credit to Dr. Sanjeev Jainji. Moreover, my husband Mr. Mahendrabhai is having pain in his both the knees since 5-6 years; also he has shown to Dr. Sanjeev Jain but till date he has not suggested surgery as he says ‘Abhi Jarurat Nahi’. So my respect for him increases. God bless such Doctors, wishing him the ”BEST” for future.
